Not sure what t-shirt to pick for your next event or custom printed project?
With so many options available, picking a t-shirt for your project can sometimes be daunting. In order to help you out, we decided to ask some of our sales reps the following questions;
1.) What is your favorite Basic t-shirt brand/style and why?
2.) What is your favorite Premium t-shirt brand/style and Why?
3.) In your wardrobe today, what is the brand and style of your favorite t-shirt and how long have you owned it?
Here is what they had to say:

- I like Port & Company PC455 Fan Favorite Blend because it is light weight and is a super soft blend tee shirt. It comes in heathered and solid color options. It is also a great price point for a 60/40 Cotton/Poly blend t-shirt
- I would have to say my favorite is the District Brand DM130. It is a soft Tri blend fabric with low shrinkage. Great color selection. It is a premium retail quality shirt at an affordable price.
- Comfort Color 1717. I have had it for 5 years. Th color has held up amazing as a garment dyed tee. The more you wash it the softer it gets.

- I really like the PC55 for a basic t-shirt,is a great inexpensive shirt option when you need a less expensive tee that holds up well and doesn’t shrink like a 100% Cotton tee due to it being a 50/50 blend. It too has a wide variety of color options and is offered in youth sizes up to adult 6X. We did the 50th year Anniversary t-shirts for Alex Powersports. They gave me one which I wear often. It doesn’t pill or retain wrinkles.
- For the Premium option it is a tossup between the Next Level NL6210 CVC 60/40 Blend and the DM130 District Perfect Tri Short Sleeve T-shirt. The NL6210 & DM130 premium t-shirts both have a great fit & feel. They are not too long or boxy or too small and are very soft & lightweight without being too thin. The tight weave of the fabric allows screen-printed designs to come out crisp and both have a wide variety of color options making them my top two t-shirts.
- I still have some of my t-shirts with Edinboro University logos from my college days ( I graduated in 2001) those shirts are mostly basic Jerzees 29M and Gildan 8000 and both are 50/50 blends .

- PC55 Port & Company Core Blend Tee for the basic, because it feels softer than most other 50/50 blend short sleeve t-shirts, I like the variety of colors it’s offered in and I have never had a complaint about this particular shirt from any of my clients.
- The 6210 Next Level Unisex CVC T-Shirt for the Premium. It has a super soft feel and is lightweight. Has a good fit for being unisex, true to size. This shirt really holds up well after may years of wearing and washing.
- In my wardrobe today, I have a handful of different Next Level Brand t-shirts, my favorite is the unisex t-shirt, as the older I get the less fitting I like my shirts and the comfier I want to be. The oldest Next Level T-shirt that I own has been in my wardrobe for probably about 8-9 years now.

- District Perfect Tri Tee DM130I love the color choices and the feel of the fabric.

- Port and Company – PC55 – 50/50 Blend, Price point is fantastic, and the quality is great, very little shrinkage after SEVERAL washes, and I personally own several and these have held up great over the years no holes or loose threads. Being a 50/50 blend it does not have that stiffness some cotton shirts have after being washed. Definitely my #1 recommend shirt to all clients
- District DM130 – 50/25/25 Blend, Poly/Cotton/ Rayon-oft Style feel give you that cozy worn shirt feeling, it’s also very light weight perfect for summer wear. There is also so many great unique colors its available in it gives an elevated look without breaking the bank.
- Port and Company – PC450 – 100% ring spun cotton-I cannot recommend this shirt enough in either the long sleeve or the short sleeve option. It’s very soft even after the almost 8 years I’ve owned it, has not shrunk, or deteriorated in quality since the first day. It holds the ink well the logo printed on it looks like it was just created yesterday. There are SO many color options it comes in. However, my favorite quality about it is it feels thick and warm without being thick and bulky and is versatile enough it can be worn in the summer as well as the winter.

- For my favorite basic t-shirt, It would be a tie between the Jerzees 29M and the PC55, both are 50/50 cotton/poly blend that wear and wash well.
- My favorite premium t-shirt is the District DM130-DM130L (ladies cut). The tri blend fabric makes it extremely soft. I am partial to heather colors and the selection is amazing.
- I have a few favorites in my wardrobe. Of course DM130L makes the cut, as well as a comfort colors 1717-Heavyweight cotton these seem to last forever. I have one that is about 10 years old!
Conclusion:
If you are looking to get a basic short sleeve t-shirt, the PC55 is a great option, or If you want to upgrade to a premium shirt that is well worth the extra money, check out the DM130, both are linked below.
